Downtown

Downtown and Nightlife Hot Springs, ArkansasEnveloped in history, yet tastefully modernized, the downtown historic district of Hot Springs features many popular city sites. Along Central Avenue, you’ll find one-of-a-kind boutiques, art galleries and antique shops, eclectic dining, spas, salons and the famous Bath House Row, and historic buildings like the old Southern Club, once a popular mob/gambling hangout, now a unique wax museum.

Whether it’s a weekend out with the girls, or a summer vacation with the entire family, the downtown historic district is the perfect place to begin exploring exciting Hot Springs.

Shopping

Antique stores, gift shops and specialty boutiques pepper the downtown area of Hot Springs. Even if you aren’t looking for anything in particular, you’ll often come home with a bag full of interesting trinkets. However, there is much for the serious shopper too, including name-brand accessory and modern clothing stores offering the latest fashion trends.

Art

Downtown Hot Springs is a classic art scene full of galleries and studios where browsing is as much fun as buying, and you can spend a full day doing both. Galleries showcase everything from “unique and unusual” to classical, original and affordable paintings, sculptures, pottery and photographs. And no matter when you visit, there’s usually always an art even going on, such as the monthly Gallery Walk.

Dining & Nightlife

Live music and great food best describe what you’ll find downtown after the sun goes down. For lunch and dinner, you can enjoy everything from pizza, pasta and BBQ to Vietnamese, German and fine Italian. After dinner, take the kid’s for a round of putt-putt golf, or if you’re childless, dive into the downtown bar-scene with dancing and live music at Capone’s or Lucky’s.
