Man vs Machine by Southern Theatre Company at Vapors Live | Hot Springs National Park Arkansas

Man vs Machine by Southern Theatre Company at Vapors Live

Location: Vapors Live, 315 Park Avenue

Event Date: January 16 - 18

Can you tell the difference between a play written by a human and one by artificial intelligence? The Clifton Players and Southern Theatre Company invite theatergoers to test their instincts with a new series of short plays running from January 16th through the 18th.

The “Man vs. Machine” production features six original one-acts – four written by humans, including one by Pulitzer Prize finalist Lee Blessing, and two generated by AI. Audiences must decide which scripts came from people and which came from machine,s with the final reveal coming at the end of the last show.

“Man vs. Machine” is a collaboration between the Cincinnati-based Clifton Players and The Southern Theater Company of Hot Springs, Arkansas.

It’s no secret that AI has infiltrated every art medium, from writing and digital drawings to video and music. But do you think you can accurately identify what’s AI and what’s manmade? That’s the premise behind a new show from the Clifton Players and Southern Theatre Company coming this January.

You will not be told which plays are AI and which are human-created; it’s up to you to figure out. A discussion will follow the show. January 16th-18th Show starts at 7:00pm.
