Spa-Con is a pop culture and comic convention, flying to the Hot Springs Convention Center in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas September 19 - 21. This event has EVERYTHING! Panels and workshops with guests, meet and greet and photo opportunities with celebrities, a cosplay contest, incredible artists and vendors, and a list of comic artists and cosplayers from across The United States.

From the silver screen to the comic book page, birds have soared into our pop culture consciousness, captivating audiences with their unique characteristics and symbolism. Just like Spa-Con, birds cross into every and all genres of pop-culture and science fiction. From superheroes like Robin and Raven to the Hitchcock classic "Birds," feathered friends and foes seem to be around everywhere we go.
Spa-Con's 2025 poster design by talented local artist Gustav Carlson features a few of our favorite pop-culture birds including: a raven (Teen Titans), an owl (Court of Owls, Nite Owl, & Harry Potter), a robin (Batman & Robin), a penguin (The Penguin), a falcon (Captain America), and of course Arkansas' state bird, a mockingbird. This year's poster also highlights Hot Springs' natural beauty with flowing waters, lush trees, and the Garvan Woodland Gardens Treehouse. Our resident alien from the 8th Annual Spa-Con poster, Connie, returns as a birding enthusiast trading her UFO for her trusty Ostrich steed!
