HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK, Arkansas — After being voted the No. 3 destination in America for fall foliage last year by readers of USA TODAY, Hot Springs is in the running for that designation again this year.
Terrisa Meeks, the outreach coordinator for the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, notified Visit Hot Springs that, “Our editors, along with a panel of subject matter experts, have chosen Hot Springs, Arkansas, as a nominee for Best Destination for Fall Colors.”
Meeks said voting begins today [Monday, August 11] and ends on Monday, September 8. She said the top 10 winners, as ranked by USA TODAY 10Best readers, will be announced on Wednesday, September 17. Click here to vote now!
Hot Springs was voted the No. 3 best destination in America for experiencing fall foliage in 2024.
“We always knew that Hot Springs and our surrounding mountains are beautiful in the fall, but it’s an added pleasure when people all over the country agree with us,” Visit Hot Springs CEO Steve Arrison said at the time. “With our national park located right in the heart of our city and the Ouachita National Forest right on our doorstep, Hot Springs actually glows each autumn.”
“We believe the recognition of our autumn beauty will inspire people from all over the country to come to Hot Springs in the fall and enjoy the beautiful foliage as well as all the other great attractions we have here in the city,” Visit Hot Springs Marketing Director Bill Solleder said. “We’re certainly going to incorporate this honor in all our messaging platforms to inform potential visitors of what awaits them in America’s Spa.”
