Hot Springs will welcome more than 1950 runners representing more than 20 different states are expected to participate in the 2019 festival across all categories, which include the 13.1 mile half marathon, the 10k, 5k and Squirt race (ages 2-10 years).

The Summit2Summit Half Marathon, which is celebrating its 5th anniversary as part of the running festival and only its 2nd year inside of the Hot Springs National Park, was first to sell out approximately a month before the close of online registrations. The 5k sold out during the last week of online registration.

The 10k category, which is the longest running race of the festival, began in 1981 as an initiative by the Spa Pacers Running Club. While this race has reached its planned capacity, the festival staff has reserved a small number of slots available for onsite registration due to its participation in the Arkansas RRCA Grand Prix race series. These registrations will be very limited. To follow updates regarding onsite registration availability visit the Spa Running Festival’s Facebook page at

The Expo will be in conjunction with the Gudrun Northwoods MTB Festival Expo making for a large assortment of fitness, HOT SPRINGS NATIONALPARK, AR running and biking-related businesses promoting products and services from not only event sponsors, but also nearby businesses which may serve our local running/fitness community.

Packet pick-up for registered runners will be available during Expo hours, as well as from 6am-7:30am at the Hot Springs Convention Center Bank OZK Arena Lower Lobby (the entrance closest to Embassy Suites).

Spectators are encouraged to attend the area surrounding the Start/Finish line to cheer on and show support of all the runners.
