A&P Commission Is Accepting Applications From Nonprofits for Advertising Assistance Grants

HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK, Arkansas — The Hot Springs Advertising and Promotion Commission is now accepting, effective today, applications from Hot Springs nonprofit organizations for assistance in advertising and promoting their 2024 events.

Grants are available to any nonprofit organization {501(c)(3)} in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, actively marketing their festival/event to attract out-of-town visitors.

Applications will be accepted through February 4, and the Commission will select the recipients on March 4. Successful recipients will be notified of their selection on March 6.

Visit Hot Springs CEO Steve Arrison said, “The program has been successful in years past in bringing visitors to the city, and we believe it’s a good way to help organizations in getting the word out about their events.”

“Past recipients of the advertising assistance grants have been the Spa Running Festival, Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, Bike Fest, Valley of the Vapors Music Festival, Arkansas Shorts, Jazz Fest and The Big Steam Music Festival, among others,” Visit Hot Springs Marketing Director Bill Solleder said.

Solleder said qualifying projects must meet the following criteria: (1) To advertise and promote the city and its environs. (2) To stimulate economic growth, overnight stays in Hot Springs lodging properties, restaurant usage and/or general future tourism development with out-of-town visitors. (3) Each applicant must have the ability to track the impact and effectiveness of their event.

“The program isn’t designed to cover the cost of a project, but to assist in funding the advertising and marketing of an event,” Solleder said.
