HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK, Arkansas — The celebrity guests are booked. The weekend’s schedule has been finalized. Weekend passes are selling briskly. VIP passes are sold out. A new poster is ready. And Spa-Con 6.0 is ready to welcome fans of all forms of comics and pop culture to Hot Springs the weekend of September 23 – 25.

“We can’t wait to welcome superstar Lori Petty to Hot Springs as our special celebrity guest for this year’s Spa-Con,” said Bill Solleder, marketing director for Visit Hot Springs and founder of the annual gathering of fans at the Hot Springs Convention Center.

“Her work in films like ‘Point Break,’ ‘A League of Their Own’ and ‘Tank Girl’ have solidified her place as one of the most unique actors of our time,” Solleder said. “She fits in well with the distinguished list of previous Spa-Con celebrity guests: Nichelle Nichols, Shanon Purser, Butch Patrick, Pam Grier and Sherilyn Fenn.

“Weekend passes for the convention are selling briskly, and we’ve already sold out our VIP passes. We’ll still be selling weekend passes at the door, but we really encourage fans to go to the Spa-Con website — www.spa-con.org — and get the passes ahead of time.”
