Pan American Bass Fishing Championship Draws Record Attendance

STATE COLLEGE, PA – Bass fishing in the Americas is on the rise. Visit Hot Springs and USA Bass will be hosting the 4th edition of the Pan American Bass Fishing Championship. This event will feature a record number of participants. Anglers from the USA, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Colombia, El Salvador, Venezuela, Honduras and Guatemala will be competing for Pan American medals. This event will also include international teams from South Africa and the Philippines that will not be competing for Pan American bass fishing medals. The tournament will be held on Lake Hamilton this September 8th and 9th. The weigh in will be held at 4pm CST for both days at the Andrew H. Hulsey State Fish
Hatchery boat launch site. The event kicks off on Wednesday September 6th at Bridge Street LIVE. Fans can meet the USA Bass Team, special guest and fishing legend Jimmy Houston, USA Bass team coach Charlie Evans with PAW Patrol's Skye & Marshall and listen to the pop hits band Manhattan.

“Visit Hot Springs is the perfect partner for this Pan American Bass Fishing Championship. A record number of nations want to fish this iconic bass fishing location and visit this community” says USA Bass President, Mark Schlarb. “Steve Arrison and Hot Springs have the necessary vision to help USA Bass expand bass fishing worldwide. We are starting with this Bass Pan American Championship and will eventually host the Bass World Championship in the coming years.

The USA Bass Team for the 2023 Bass Fishing Pan American Championship will be announced shortly. It will include America’s best bass anglers including: Scott Martin, Roland Martin, John Cox, Stephen Browning, Larry Nixon just to name a few. Anglers will be paired up into two person pairs on each boat. There will be stiff competition among the nations to make the medal stand.
